HoRR

The day was pink, not black. Molesey 1 came 2nd by 3.5 seconds. Molesey 2 coming 10th. Molesey 3 and 4 finished 48th and 50th respectively with Molesey 5, thrown together on the day coming in a respectable 143. There are plenty of sites where you can find excellent pictures of the racing crews such as:
Bigblade and Jet photographic so I haven't posted any shots of distant sticks here. Having sprinted up to the start to time the first 30 crews, myself and two Keech brothers decided to take a more leisurely approach to our return to Putney. A cultural tour of riverside clubs and public houses starting at Tideway Scullers as MBC 1 went through the start line. Of note on this tour was the World's smallest bar at the Dove, which is also the oldest riverside pub in London, and at Auriol Kensington some superb photographic displays:

 As we reached the Rutland, also on the river at Hammersmith the Sun was setting:
Some four hours after the first boat had crossed the finish line we made it to Putney to be met by various Molesey athletes celebrating the end of the boring long stuff!
